Points. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, a large number of wild animals such as yellow sheep, roe deer, fox, tiger and elk were scattered here for royal hunting. After the invasion of Beijing, Nanhaizi milu deer was looted and slaughtered, and then disappeared in China. In 1985, the Marquis of Tavistock returned 38 milu deer to China. In 1993, there were more than 200 Milu in Milu Park. In 1997, the park was built into a wildlife free range area, exhibition area, picnic area and camping area. In 2000, there were more than 130 elk in the museum. In the park, there are white lipped deer, red deer, sika deer, roe deer and other deer animals, proctor's wild horse and so on, as well as gray starling, big spotted woodpecker and other birds. The Museum covers an area of 640000 square meters. Among them, 300 mu of swamp, 320 mu of natural grassland, 60 mu of pond, and more than 60 mu of scientific research and life management area. In 2001, the regular exhibition "the vicissitudes of Milu" was displayed in the science popularization building. The main exhibition contents of the museum include "the vicissitudes of the milu deer" (including the milu deer and nature, the deer and culture, the milu deer garden), the tomb area of the world's extinct animals, the murals of Oriental nursing students, etc.
