Nanjing Engineering College is a higher military technical college affiliated to the general staff of the Chinese people's Liberation Army. In June 2017, the PLA Army Engineering University was established by the merger of the former PLA University of science and technology, Ordnance Engineering College, engineering college, Chongqing Communication College and Wuhan ordnance Sergeant school.

School history

The predecessor of the Engineering College of the PLA is the Engineering School of the Northeast Democratic Coalition army, the first engineering school of the PLA established in Tonghua, Jilin Province in 1946.

In 1949, he went south with the army and moved to Changsha, Hunan Province. He changed his name to Engineering School of Central South military region, senior engineering school and engineering college.

In 1974, he moved to Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province.

In 1986, it was renamed Engineering Command College. Zhou Enlai, Zhu De, Xu Qianqian, Nie Rongzhen and other leaders of the party and state, and proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation are very concerned about the construction and development of the college, and have made important instructions and inscriptions for the college. Zhang Zhen, Chi Haotian, Fu Quanyou, Wang Ke and other leaders of the Military Commission have successively visited the college. For more than 50 years, the college adheres to the school spirit of "being strict, diligent, realistic and innovative" and the school spirit of "being rigorous in academic research, strict in teaching and strict in self-discipline". In order to win the war, regularize and modernize the army, it has trained a large number of middle and junior commanding officers of engineering troops, and has transported more than 5000 professional and technical talents for a large number of national key projects and local economic construction .

Management organization

The training department is a functional organ for teaching management under the leadership of the head of the Institute. It is an assistant for the head of the Institute to organize and command the teaching activities of the whole institute. According to the new system, the training department has seven departments, two grass-roots units and two factories.
