Located in Wulingyuan core scenic spot of Zhangjiajie, yuanjiazhai is the only private building within the scope of yuanjiajie scenic spot. It is the local landlord's stockade. Yuanjiazhai inherits the characteristics of Tujia architecture, and the eaves of the stockade gate are upward.

Characteristic architecture

Yuanjiazhaizi inherits the characteristics of Tujia architecture. An elaborate landscape

The confusion of the Zhongping settlement is beyond even the yuan family. In 2006, inspired by the idea of "creating world-class tourism products", the two committees of the village branch organized the indigenous people to go out for investigation and study, making them understand that development is for today's benefit, and protection is for future generations. After the meeting of villagers' representatives, it was decided to take 15 indigenous households in Zhongping as a pilot to explore a new way out through self-help and autonomy. That is to say, without changing the building area of the house, the shape of the house will be transformed into the shape of Tujia village; the unified operation will be implemented without changing the property of the house; the service content will be changed without affecting the income, and the family hotels and restaurants will be replaced by agricultural culture demonstration and folk customs performance.

In February 2007, led by the village Department, 80 indigenous people from 15 households took shares in houses. Through mutual assistance and cooperation, they obtained the business license of yuanjiazhaizi in accordance with the law, and simultaneously obtained the enterprise code certificate and tax registration certificate. In March of that year, they hired a professional team to settle in and began comprehensive renovation. Then, they obtained the record certificate and health license for the business unit of cultural performance venues Fire rectification was carried out, and the price department brought the village into the performing arts industry for standardized management.

In this way, a new mode of production, yuanjiazhaizi, was born, in which the masses cooperated voluntarily and the aborigines in the scenic area found a new way to make a living. Zhang Yuhui, the village Party branch secretary, made an account for the author in a private house in yuanjiazhaizi, which is full of tourists: 20 years ago, when Zhangjiajie was founded, the per capita net income of yuanjiajie village was only more than 300 yuan. Ten years ago, every household in the village opened a hotel and engaged in catering, but the net income per capita was only 2000 yuan. This year, although the government has carried out demolition and resettlement, and the business scale and scope are smaller than before, the income of villagers has increased significantly, and conservatively estimated that it will not be less than 16000 yuan per capita. Zhang Yuhui said: "we used to earn money from selling coolies, but now we earn money from being a boss and paying dividends." 15 families share 753000 yuan of dividends every year. The village also pays 5000-8000 yuan of rental subsidies to each family every year. The money collected by the village collective can be redistributed. In this way, the average annual income of villagers from the village is more than 11000 yuan.

In June 2007, Zhang Zuoji, governor of Heilongjiang Province, accompanied by the leaders of the city, visited the village. When he heard that 388 beds and 1650 dining places had been removed in yuanjiazhaizi, which reduced the annual sewage discharge by more than 5 million tons, he evaluated the village model as an effective attempt to protect the scenic area environment, enrich the tourism content, and solve the problem of the way out for the aborigines.
