The memorial hall at the site of the second National Congress of the Communist Party of China consists of two rows of East-West residential buildings in the lane of Shikumen. It is of brick and wood structure, with a building area of about 2282 square meters. It basically retains the architectural style when it was built in 1915.
The exhibition area of the memorial hall is composed of "preface hall, the exhibition hall of the second National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the history Hall of the party constitution, the former site of the second National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and the exhibition hall of the former site of the civilian women's school". Historical evolution
In October 1915, Gilbert Davies and J. t. wynward, the British Architects of Davies Brooke architects, were responsible for the construction of the old style lane of fudri row style Shikumen where the memorial hall of the second National Congress of the Communist Party of China is located Brooke) designed and completed the next year. It specifies the conditions and procedures for joining the party in detail, as well as the organizational principles, organizational structure, discipline and system of the party. From July 16 to 23, 1922, the second National Congress of the Communist Party of China was held in Shanghai. They are Chen Duxiu, Zhang Guotao and Li Da, members of the Central Bureau; Yang Mingzhai, representative of Shanghai; Luo Zhanglong, representative of Beijing; Wang Jingmei, representative of Shandong; Xu Baihao, representative of Hubei; Cai Hesen, representative of Hunan; Tan Pingshan, representative of Guangzhou; Li Zhenying, representative of the Secretariat of China's labor union; and Chinese socialist leaders Shi Cuntong, a representative of the Provisional Central Bureau of the Yiyang Youth League, and other 12 people attended the meeting on behalf of 195 party members from all over the country.
The first plenary session of the conference was held in the residence of Li Da, 625 fudri Road, South Chengdu Road (now No. 30 Lane 7, North Chengdu Road), the former public concession in Shanghai. The meeting lasted for eight days and passed nine resolutions, including the declaration of the second National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the constitution of the Communist Party of China, the resolution on "the general situation of the world and the Communist Party of China" and the resolution on "democratic united front".
