Wulong Village

Wulong Village (formerly known as Heilong Village), the original site of Wulong mountain bandit suppression. It is one of the most dangerous places in Yangjiazhai scenic area. It is also a bandit village in the old society. You need to go through four "ghost gates" before you can get on the viewing platform of Wulong Village. Although it's hard, it's a highlight in Zhangjiajie scenic area.

Wulong Village

Wulong Village, formerly known as "Heilong village", is a newly developed scenic spot in yangjiajie. At present, only 20% of it is developed in yangjiajie. The original name of Wulong Village is "Heilong village". It used to be a place where bandits lived. It is remote and dangerous. There are only one way up and down on all sides of the cliff. The terrain is dangerous. The so-called "one man is in charge of the pass, and ten thousand people are not allowed to open it.".

Village introduction

In order to attract tourists' attention, the local tourism bureau changed the name of the bandit's nest in the movie "Wulong mountain bandit suppression". Since ancient times, Xiangxi has a strong folk custom and abounds in bandits. If we can really trace back, we have to talk about the end of Ming Dynasty. Wu Sangui led Qing soldiers into the pass and drove away Chuang Wang. In order to make a comeback, the soldiers guarding the treasure changed from bandits to mountain bandits. Since then, China's domestic and foreign troubles, the people are in dire straits, bandits gathered at the top of Xiaoshan mountain, passed on from generation to generation. During the period of the Republic of China, three battalions were left dead in a fierce battle between the Kuomintang anti bandit forces and the bandits guarding Wulong Village. The whole stockade is built on the mountain, easy to defend but difficult to attack.

Many people have been to Wulingyuan, but few know about Wulong Village.

Dozens of kilometers from the west coast, there is a mountain road, lush trees, blocking the sky, few people.

A few hundred meters ahead, in a quiet place drilling path, where dense shrubs, rocks. In the dark, people feel a chill. After a few turns, a two-story wooden house appears in the mountain. It looks beautiful. I was told that this used to be a bandit's stronghold. The environment of the stockade is good, but living in the valley, how can we protect ourselves? The people in the stockade said with a smile: This is where I live at leisure. The real stockade is on the opposite mountain!

On the right side of the wooden building is a cliff and deep valley. The narrow stone road snakes along the cliff. A village locks the path, and there are three words "Wulong Village".

From the gate to the top is a steep slope. Dozens of meters away, there is a cliff platform with two or three guns. It's easy to defend but hard to attack. A few meters away is the first gate of death in Wulong Village. The path turns sharply to the right, and a rock suddenly protrudes. People must stick to the rock wall and turn slowly. If they are not careful, they will fall into the cliff. As long as one person is sent to wait with a knife, no matter how many people there are.

The road to move on is not so clear. It seems that the road is not the right one. It's hard to see people from a few meters away. It's hard and tortuous for people to walk on a road more than a hundred meters away. They need to bend down to go up. The second gate of death "who can not bow his head" is in the way.

The steep slope of nearly 100 meters is almost upright, and the stone road passes between two huge stones. People have to turn sideways to go up slowly. One man is in charge of the pass, and ten thousand people are not allowed to open it. "One husband pass" is the third gate of death. The Wulong Village has been established for many years.

After tens of meters of relatively gentle stone path, it is a section of slope road, and a cottage stands high. There are deep cliffs on all sides behind the village. Not far away, there is a solitary stone standing in the mountains. This is the wonder in the boudoir Tianbo mansion. Walking through the rickety cable bridge and climbing to the top of tianbofu mountain, you can have a panoramic view of all kinds of scenery. It is said that one of the descendants of the Yang family came here. Therefore, the names of many scenery are inextricably linked with the Yang family.

Far mountains and near valleys are magnificent and beautiful. The eyes are full of emptiness and incomparable openness. There are strange peaks and rocks, and the scenery is natural. Best travel season

Wulongzhai belongs to Zhangjiajie area, which belongs to the prototype monsoon humid climate of the mid subtropical mountains. It has sufficient light and heat, abundant rainfall, long frost free period, short cold period and four distinct seasons. The average frost free period over the years is between 216 days and 269 days. The annual average temperature is about 16.6 ℃. Zhangjiajie has no severe cold in winter and no severe heat in summer. The annual average temperature is 16.8 ° C. It can be said that the four seasons are like spring. All seasons are suitable for sightseeing. The best time for traveling is from April to October every year, especially in April and October.

Bandits in Wulong Village

The guide reminds us: there used to be a large number of bandits in Wulong Village. Be careful when you encounter bandits. Along the way, we met people who carried poles, set up food stalls, and opened tourist goods stores. There were no signs of bandits. Especially the enthusiasm of lifting the pole, straight to your feet, one by one with a simple and honest face, saying that they are bandits, but I don't believe it at all. The price is also easy to make, 50 yuan a round trip. A few fat people were so kind that they went on the slide one after another. We often take calcium supplements all day. We have good waist and legs, so we don't need to take a slide.

Grasp the handrail, step on the stone, come to a natural stone arch into the cover of the cross road, this is the "Wulong Village" gate. All the people who sit on the pole also come down from here. The gate of the village lies on the mountain, facing the abyss on the left and the cliff on the right. There is only a winding narrow mountain road with many strange rocks. In the dark, people feel a chill. Looking at Mingming from a distance, there was no way. When I came closer, I found that there was another way in the narrow wall.

To reach the top of Wulong Village, we have to go through three gates. Enter the door is a steep stone level, then "encounter" the first pass: "one step is difficult.". Path a sharp turn to the right, a sharp rock "duty bound" to suddenly out. People here, must be close to the cliff, lean back and side by, fully and effectively exercise the waist strength. I think: if we really fight here, as long as the defensive side sends one person to wait with a knife, no matter how many people there are, the attackers' guns are useless. Even if there are thousands of troops, I'm afraid they can only do nothing! I looked around carefully. Fortunately, there were no bandits. The guide said that when the bandits lived, there was no stone ladder. The bandits climbed up by rope at that time. Looking at the high cliffs, walking on the stairs, think about the bandits walking in many places at that time. If you don't pay attention, it's easy to step on the air. I began to admire those bandits. They are really powerful!

The road to go on is not so clear. It's hard to see people from a few meters away. It's hard and tortuous for a hundred meters road. People need to bend down to go up. This is the second level of "who can not bow his head": the strip-shaped rocks are slanted on one side, blocking the zigzag stone steps like a cave, making people have to bow down and pass. People have to bend under the stone.

Finally straightened up, "bad luck" is not over, in front of the two boulders almost stuck together, it turned out that the last one was closed - "who can not side". The stone road passes between two boulders, and people have to turn sideways to go up slowly. The boulder is so close, but it's hard for a "rich" tourist like me. I don't know how long the steep slope is almost upright. At first, I can walk leisurely. In the middle of the way, I can only walk sideways, with my arm touching the wet stone wall. This sense of oppression has become more and more intense, and the pace has become faltering. There is no way to go up step by step, but to move up step by step. It's hard to be a bandit. These three passes alone, climbing up and down every day, without torture, I have already surrendered to "Zhaoan". The bandit's will is not firm, and his talent is useless. He is not destined to be a bandit.

After three passes, I finally climbed to the top of Wulong Village. There is a village on the top of the mountain. The house is of old-fashioned civil structure, with black eaves and decadent facade. It displays rifles, guns, spears and knives used by bandits in those years, as well as some ancient farm tools. In one room, Xiang Dakun, the recognized leader of Tujia nationality, is worshipped. Xiang Dakun is the leader of Tujia peasant uprising in the late Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty. There is a real person in the history. There are many legends about Xiang Dakun in Zhangjiajie. The main reason why the bandits choose to camp here is that they can live an isolated and immortal life as soon as the gate is closed. There are also big back baskets used by bandits to rob relatives on the top of the village. It's useless for me. I can't even climb the mountain by myself, let alone carry a crying living man. To be a bandit, I want to be a bachelor all my life. Even if I snatch one, I can't carry it on my back. There are still traces of the history of Wulong Village, but the bandits of the past do not know where they are going, and gradually become a forgotten past.

There are deep cliffs on all sides behind the stockade. Not far away, there is a solitary stone towering over the mountains. This is the legendary treasure house, Tianbo house. Before I came here, I thought that since it was called Fu, it should be a big house, at least a house. But when I really got here, I found that the so-called Tianbo mansion is a mountain peak, which is totally different from what I imagined. Why the name? It is said that one of the descendants of the Yang family moved here in those years, so this part of the scenic area is called the Yang family circle. Tianbo house was named after a command post built here by the twelve widows to pacify the rebellion of the Wuling barbarians.
