Shengfang, with a population of 78000, is located 35 kilometers east of Bazhou city and 20 kilometers east of Tianjin. Dongdian is a wetland Lake in Hebei Province, which is second only to Baiyangdian. It covers an area of about 350 square kilometers. Before the 1960s, it was another famous water town in Hebei Province. Its specialty products are Songhua, Dongdian crab and Luxi. Culturally, it is famous for Folk Lantern, flower fair and fishing song.
Shengfang was developed from an old fishing village. After the great migration in the early Ming Dynasty, the population of Shengfang increased sharply. Immediately, merchants gathered and shops were numerous, and it rapidly developed into an important commercial and cultural town in North China. In the early Qing Dynasty, it was already very prosperous, and the rich side, as the saying goes, "there are Suzhou and Hangzhou in the south, and Shengfang in the north.". According to the annals of Wen'an County: Wenyi is one of the six towns in Zhili, with Shengfang as the most prosperous city, sailboats and masts in the water, cars and horses in the land, department stores and merchants gathered
Before the 1960s, Shengfang was a must pass for Tianjin in the upper reaches of the Daqing River and even the Haihe River Basin, with smooth water and land transportation, smooth absorption of civilization, and profound cultural accumulation. Shengfang is densely populated. The streets and alleys in the old city center on Chuanxin River and extend in four directions. It is winding, deep and dense as a cobweb. It is like walking through a labyrinth. The ancient dwellings built according to the water still give people a sense of time and space reversal.
Business, fishing and reed weaving have been the main contents of Shengfang's life for hundreds of years. Shengfang has unique folk customs, such as two meals a day, residential style, human communication and so on. The above constitutes the unique human and geographical environment for the growth and inheritance of folk culture in Shengfang city.
In the early or middle period of Qianlong reign of Qing Dynasty, Shengfang Town established at least 12 concerts in blocks, among which Zhennan concert was the most famous. The activities of these concerts stopped for a time during the "Cultural Revolution". After the "Cultural Revolution", six to seven concerts, including Zhennan concerts, resumed rapidly, while the rest disappeared.
Since its establishment, Zhennan concert has been the largest, the most complete lineup, the most Qupai, the highest performance quality and the most stable inheritance.
Most of Shengfang's concerts, including Zhennan concerts, are Buddhist music, which originated from Zhihua temple in Beijing at that time. Shengfang Zhennan concert is the product of Temple Buddhist music spread to the people. However, because this kind of music is mostly "mouth to heart", there are strict regulations and rigid requirements on the way of performance, the content of performance (Qupai), the mode of Qupai, and the instruments used. Therefore, there are few changes, and folk music is difficult to penetrate, making it mutated.
The concert was originally performed by 12 musicians. After the cultural revolution, it was replaced by 10 musicians: Guan 1, Sheng 4, Yun Gong 1 (two sets), drum 1, cymbal 2 and cymbal 1.
The Sheng of the concert is in G key;
In the performance of the music, the rhythm of the melody is a little slow;
The concert is now able to skillfully perform more than 30 pieces of music, the most good at the Big Suite "hillside sheep", followed by "zouma", "Ci Cao", "journey to the East", "escape from the army" and so on. In the performance, the seven character tune is blowing, which sounds impressive and highlights profound skills.
In addition to participating in local funeral folk activities, the concert will also be held three times a year, namely, Lantern Festival and first month temple fair, June Temple Fair (birthday celebration of horse God, fire god, God and three red faced God), and April Temple Fair (Niangniang Bodhisattva temple, where all Japanese people go to pray for their children's blessings).
Shengfang Zhennan concert was once the only concert to host Shengfang's "glass Buddha". The so-called "glazed Buddha" refers to Shengfang's Ice Lantern Festival. Due to the climate rhythm, the Liuli Buddhist Association cannot be held every year. In the early Qing Dynasty, the glazed Buddha Association carved 23 ice Buddha statues, and later added other ice Buddha statues. In general, the glazed Buddha association is held on the 10th day of the first month and ends on the 18th day of the first month. During this period, the concert is played in the greenhouse, or monks or lay monks are invited to chant scriptures, so as to be called the first among the concerts.
During the Lantern Festival of Shengfang, the concert is the only one that can participate in the "pendulum meeting" (a procedure for many folk flower parties). When stepping on the street, flags stand in great numbers. After the two groups of playing bands, there are two antique "Cha Tiao". The artists who choose "Cha Tiao" are stepping on the drums, one hand is on the waist, the other hand is swinging back and forth, and the "Cha Tiao" on the shoulder vibrates up and down rhythmically, giving people a happy and harmonious aesthetic feeling. The band plays both Buddhist classical and solemn songs and popular village tunes, which are both elegant and popular, so they are deeply loved by the public.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Shengfang Zhennan concert began to collect Kunqu Opera with high pitched tunes, and reached its peak with more than 30 musicians. At that time, the formation was as follows: the big drum was in the middle of the festival, the band in front of the drum played Kunqiang, and the band behind the drum played Buddhist music, becoming the largest music company in the town. After 1949, Kunqiang gradually talked about the concert, but it still plays Kunqiang.
The concert is dedicated to seven gods: Cheng Huang Ye, Zeng Fu ye, Wu Dao ye, Huo Shen Ye, long Wang Ye, Qian Shen Ye, and di Ye.
Shengfang Zhennan concert is a kind of Buddhist percussion music. The musical instruments used in the concert are Guan, Sheng, Yun Gong, Da Gu, Da cymbal, Da cymbal, dangzi, etc. in the late Qing Dynasty, when it also promoted Kun Opera, it added string, flute and other related musical instruments, which were restored to the original state after 1949. At present, there are 10 major musicians, who can skillfully play 20-40 pieces of music, and are the best at the Big Suite "hillside sheep".
There are two volumes of hand copied gongchipu fule, with 48 pieces of Qupai in memory.
In addition to musical instruments, the club also has a large number of flag flags, drum frames, corner lights, tea picks and other accessories. Most of them are made in the late Qing Dynasty. They are exquisite in shape, elegant in carving and painting, antique and eye-catching.
In the 15th or 16th year of the Republic of China, when the music score of Shengfang Zhennan concert was revised, it can be traced back to the generation of Yu Huanzhang and Yang Guoxiang. Yu Huanzhang and Yang Guoxiang were born in the early years of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty. Under Yu Huanzhang and Yang Guoxiang, there were 18 successors respectively. They were Daoguang, Xianfeng, Tongzhi, Guangxu, Xuantong, the early Republic of China and the successors of the public musicians who died in 1982.
According to the records of Shengfang Town and the records of Wen'an County, the Zhennan concert had been handed down for more than ten generations from Yu and Yang Shang to the middle period of Qianlong. According to historical records, at that time, Sheng Fang, a wealthy businessman surnamed Yu, and celebrities surnamed Yang, Xi, and Hu contributed money, and initially sent 8-10 people to Beijing Zhihua temple to study arts for a year or a year and a half. After returning to Sheng Fang, he set up six music clubs, such as South concert. Since then, to the end of the Qing Dynasty, there were also two times (in the year of Daoguang and Guangxu) when Zhihua Temple monks were invited to Shengfang for half a year or a year and a half. He also sent musicians to Zhihua Temple several times.
From Yu Huanzhang and Yang Guoxiang, there are written records of huitieer, while from Yu and Yang, the legend has been handed down and spread far and wide.
