history
Kaohsiung Guandi temple, formerly known as "Guandi hall", was renamed "Wu Temple" in wukuacuo after the restoration of Taiwan. After the reconstruction was completed in January 1979, general he Yingqin, a first-class general of the army, came to give the plaque to "Kaohsiung Guandi Temple". Later, it became the name of the temple. It is a temple with a long history in Taiwan.
Founding year
Since the temple was founded in a long time this year, and there is no original data available, the only one that can be traced back to the first reconstruction of the "brick contract" of yin and Yang is: "the foundation of Pangu, king of Wuyi, is located in dazhuli, reaching yiyimu in the East and In April of the 30th year of emperor Shizu of the Yuan Dynasty, Guisi was rebuilt. When the temple was renovated at that time, it happened to get a brick deed unearthed. It was recorded that the temple was rebuilt in April of the 30th year of emperor Shizu of the Yuan Dynasty. All the disciples of shishizhuang, Jin 120 Ding, were in charge of the work by Li Dingdu. The Guandi Temple sat on GUI and divided the gold with Ding jianziwu. It has been passed down from generation to generation that "it prospered after gaining Fengshui". Today, the grand event of gaoxiongguandi temple is "seven stars fell to the ground", which confirms the long history of the temple.
According to the interview book of Fengshan County, "the Guandi temple is located in the north of wukuacuo village, Dazhu, Wuli in the west of the county, and 16 houses. In the ninth year of Xianfeng, Zeng Yuanfu, the deputy general, rebuilt the temple. In the 17th year of Guangxu, Lu Dexiang rebuilt the temple. The temple rented 20 stones. There is a new donation of 300 yuan in Guisi year, but it has not yet bought a house. Although the founding date of this document can not be determined, the exact one is that Zeng Yuanfu, the commander of the navy in Fujian Province, supervised the reconstruction of the temple in the ninth year of Xianfeng (1859). He set up a "stele record of rebuilding the temple" to record the event. He built it again with general Zeng Yuanfu in the third year of tongzhi (1864) of the Qing Dynasty, and personally wrote three pairs of columns to sign the inscription. Today, the relic of "rebuilding the stele of Wu Temple" is preserved in the temple. The three couplets of pillars written by Zeng Yuanfu are located in the cultural corridor on the left side of the temple.
Reconstruction process and general situation of expansion
With the development of time, Taiwan's economy is prosperous, and there are many high-rise buildings everywhere. The narrow scale of Guandi hall is not enough to serve the emperor and promote his orthodoxy. Therefore, many believers of the emperor have proposed reconstruction to widely promote the spirit of Guansheng emperor's loyalty and righteousness. In the spring of 1972, the proposal was discussed and approved at the believer's assembly, and a reconstruction Committee was organized. Mr. Tang chuanzong was invited to serve as the chairman of the reconstruction committee by Mr. Wu hanlao, a local senior, with the help of Mr. Chen Changshou and Mr. Xie Lianke During the construction period, thanks to the contributions of Xiao baizong, pan Xiaorui, Xu Haoran and the ten believers, it took four years before and after the reconstruction and cost more than ten million yuan. It was completed in January 1979.
