Cuifeng mountain natural scenic spot is a national AAAA scenic spot and a national water conservancy scenic spot. Located in the suburb of Yangquan, Pingding and Shouyang, Cuifeng mountain scenic spot is jointly developed by Qianzhuang village and Houyu village of Pingtan town. It is a multi-functional scenic spot integrating tourism, leisure, vacation and summer resort. In the scenic area, there are dangerous rocks, deep ditches and strange peaks, pure springs and murmuring streams. There is a large area of primary secondary forest, in which there are more than 100 species such as lacquer trees and birch trees. The unique plant resources make Cuifeng mountain scenery all year round.

Introduction

Cuifeng mountain natural scenic spot is a national 4A tourist scenic spot and a national water conservancy scenic spot. The scenic spot is located in Houyu, Pingping Town, the suburb of Yangquan City, Shanxi Province. It is about 110 kilometers away from Taiyuan in the west, 120 kilometers away from Shijiazhuang in the East and 15 kilometers away from the center of Yangquan City. Taijiu highway Yangquan (Potou) exit, only 12 km to the scenic area.

Cuifeng mountain is located in the southwest of the suburb of Yangquan City, connecting the urban area in the East, Pingding in the south, Shouyang in the West and Xinjing in the north. It covers an area of 13 square kilometers, with an altitude of 1430 meters and a relative elevation difference of 700 meters. The average annual temperature is 10 ℃. The natural forest coverage rate is more than 97%, and all kinds of plants grow luxuriantly and distribute evenly. It is a natural fairyland and a natural oxygen bar, with peach blossoms in spring, green fields in summer, maple leaves in autumn and ice sculptures in winter.

The phenological characteristics of Cuifeng mountain tourist area are obvious in April to October. Peach and apricot blossom in the middle of April, and red leaves fill the mountain in September and October, which is the most vigorous season of mountain forest landscape in the tourist area. According to the investigation of Shanxi Branch of Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, Yuejiagou spring in cuifengshan tourist area is a Permian fractured rock aquifer, containing strontium - low sodium drinking natural mineral water, with a water yield of 60m3 / day. The water quality of the mineral spring is good and the water quantity is stable, which has a good prospect for tourism development.

Cuifeng mountain is rich in cultural resources. In the tourist area, there are some anti Japanese War sites, the horse retaining wall site. Temple fairs are held in Houyu village on the second day of August every year. In Cuifeng mountain scenic area, there is an 800 meter "God of nature" Avenue integrating with the natural ecology. On both sides of the avenue, there are 40 totem pillars including the God of heaven and earth. There are clay figurines, dough figurines, puppets, shadow puppets, all kinds of leisure tea houses and restaurants of Shanxi folk. It is a great place for tourists to go for leisure. There are more than 1200 species of plants in the area. Because of the rich plant resources, it provides a good habitat for wild animals. According to preliminary statistics, there are more than 800 species of birds, insects and various animals, and more than 110 species of butterflies alone. More than 30 species of animals, including wolf, red tailed pheasant, wild boar, leopard cat and snake, have been listed in the national protection list. Among them, cats and leopards are good at running and climbing trees. They live in forest areas and bushes and mainly hunt birds. They are the second class protected animals of the state. There are more than 110 kinds of wild fruit trees, more than 400 kinds of wild flowers, more than 270 kinds of wild vegetables, and 350 kinds of medicinal plants, such as Leonurus japonicus, dangshen, tea herb, Artemisia argyi, Astragalus membranaceus, licorice, etc. Many trees have the function of absorbing nitric oxide, formaldehyde and other harmful substances to protect the environment. The water quality of Cuifeng is excellent, the content is rich, the air is fresh, and the content of negative ions is high. Hongfeng Performing Arts Square is located in the middle of the avenue. The front of the stage is a modern maple leaf shaped membrane building with a novel form. The stage entrance is 18 meters and the depth is 16 meters. It is the main stage for large-scale tourism activities throughout the year. Above the stage is the newly developed "strange slope" in the scenic area, where you can experience the mysterious natural scene of "water flowing to high places". There are about 1618 species of animal, marine and terrestrial plant specimens in the museum, which is the largest natural science education place in Shanxi Province. The boa constrictor and giant turtle Museum in the scenic spot is a good place for you to have close contact with animals. The golden boa constrictor and giant turtle on display here are rare in China. There are five sceneries of water and sky, stone pavilions and wooden corridors beside the pool, and waterfalls crossing the bridge. Recreational items include water fitness ball, cruise, fishing and winter skating. The total length of the "flying slide" is nearly 300 meters. When you slide down from a high place, you can see the scenery of mountains and waters.

There are 36 gullies in the scenic area. There are three tourist routes, namely, lvyexian Valley, Fozhi Pavilion and maple leaf Pavilion. It is mainly a natural experience tourism. The 5-kilometer long trail, covered with shade and paved with stone slabs, wooden boards and pine needles, is unique. All kinds of trees are hung with introduction boards, so that tourists can increase their knowledge of nature.
