Beigu mountain scenic spot

Beigu mountain is known as "the first mountain in Jingkou". Overlooking Beigu in the distance, it lies across the river, with steep stone walls and steep mountains, so it is named Beigu mountain. One thousand and four hundred years ago, Emperor Liang Wu of the Liang Dynasty came to Beigu mountain and praised its success. He changed it to Gu and renamed it Beigu mountain. There are tombs of Lu Su and Tai Shici, and historical sites such as Ganlu temple, where Liu Bei is said to recruit relatives.

The most famous part of Beigu mountain is Ganlu temple, which is called "Liu Bei's recruiting relatives". To the south of Beigu mountain is the wall of the iron urn built by Sun Quan during the Three Kingdoms period. Beigu mountain is composed of Qianfeng, Zhongfeng and Houfeng (the main peak); Qianfeng is in the south, separated from Zhongfeng by the road, above is Zhenjiang martyrs cemetery; Zhongfeng is in the middle; Houfeng is in the north, straight into the Yangtze River. Tourists mainly visit the middle and back peaks of Beigu mountain. The two peaks are connected. You can walk up the mountain to the left half of the circle under the "8". After entering the gate, the Phoenix pool is on the left, and the sword testing stone on the right is said to be left by Liu Bei and Sun Quan. Then you can climb up the ancient road of the eastern Wu Dynasty to the iron tower near the intersection of the "8". The lower two floors of the tower are historical sites of Song Dynasty, and the upper two floors are historical sites of Ming Dynasty. Although they are dilapidated, there are beautiful patterns on the base and tower body.

The ring line on the top of the mountain forms the circle above the word "8". After seeing the wall engraved with "the best River and mountain in the world", walk across the arch with the inscription "Nanxu Jingyu" (Nanxu is the alias of Zhenjiang). The stone building connected to the west of the arch is Ganlu temple. Kangxi and Qianlong built the palace here, and now there is an imperial stele Pavilion in the west of the temple. According to Chapter 54 of the romance of the Three Kingdoms, "Wu Tai Buddhist temple looks at the bridegroom, and uncle Liu's bridal chamber continues the bride and wife." in the hall, there are statues of the Three Kingdoms who show the story.

The Duojing building behind Ganlu temple, also known as Beigu building, is a newly built modern building. It is the best place to see the scenery. When you climb the building, you can see the magnificent Yangtze River at your feet. You can see Jinshan in the West and Jiaoshan in the East. In the west of duojinglou, there is a cruel stone, which is said to be the place where Sun Quan and Liu Bei (Zhuge Liang) discussed the great plan of Chibi, and the Liuma stream where sun and Liu raced; in the East, there is a river sacrifice Pavilion, which is said to be the place where sun Shangxiang committed suicide after hearing that Liu Bei passed away.

Back at the iron tower, you can walk down the mountain on the right side of the circle under the "8", and have a look at the memorial forest of Zhongshan, the tomb of Lu Su, a famous Minister of Sun Quan in the eastern Wu Dynasty, and the tomb of Tai Shici, a famous general, all the way to the gate.

Beigu people
