The deeds of the good officials and the soldiers guarding the border before the system were used to educate the people of the state and inspire the later generations. During the Northern Song Dynasty, Dingzhou was the place where the song and Liao dynasties fought. Three days later, there was no word from anyone. At night, unable to sleep, he walked out of the tent alone. Not far away, he heard two soldiers on guard talking in a low voice. Yang Yanzhao flashed behind a tree and wanted to hear what they were talking about. Just listen to the tall one said: "I said brother, how can this bowl of porridge go to war?" the short one said: "yes, I can't wait for Han Chang to die, so I starved to death." The short one then said, "brother Zhang, Wang San is a grain officer. He mixed a lot of rice bran in his meal." Yang Yanzhao listened and thought, if this goes on, the morale of the army will change. He took two steps and one step back. He was stumbling over an earthen ridge. Suddenly, he had a plan and ordered the soldiers to dig the earth all night. In less than an hour, nearly a hundred mounds were piled up, and then the soldiers were covered with a layer of chaff. From a distance, they looked like grain mountains. Then he sent another confidant to lead 5000 people to defend, not to divulge secrets. The next morning, Tan Ma reported to Han Chang that there was a mountain of grain and grass in the song camp. Han Chang didn't believe it. He climbed high and looked far away. It was true. He said to himself, "where did Yang LIULANG get so much food and grass? Was it the God who helped him?" when Liao soldiers heard the news, they were as angry as a vegetable melon and beat a donkey. In addition to the song camp, Yang Yanzhao gathered all the soldiers and announced two things: one is that the grain officer withheld the army's grain and beheaded it to the public; the other is that the grain and grass have arrived, and all the soldiers and soldiers will have enough to eat. They will break through at three o'clock tonight. After hearing this, all the officers and soldiers of the song army were jubilant and their morale doubled. That night, under the leadership of Yang yanzhao, the song army fought back the Liao soldiers, broke out of the encirclement and turned defeat into victory. Up to now, the Northeast General Secretary village of Dingzhou City is the place where Yang Yanzhao's local grain accumulation defeated Liao state. Later, it was renamed General Secretary village. Located in the east of Gaotou village, two small earth mountains are the remains of the grain accumulation. Today, the lush pines and cypresses and charming scenery in Tushan are one of the eight scenic spots in Dingzhou, which is called "Pingshan Shengjing".
