Kowloon Tong
Kowloon Tong, the lower District of Kowloon City, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China, is located in the north of Kowloon City. In 1920s, the Hong Kong government developed Kowloon Tong and tried to develop it into a low-density residential area. In the area, there are mainly low bungalows and contiguous villas. At the same time, there are many trees in the area. The green shade covers the road, which is quite suburban. In 1956, the Hong Kong Baptist College, which was built on land allocated by the Hong Kong government, was opened. In 1974, the Kowloon Canton Railway Corporation set up a station (now one of the MTR stations) in Kowloon Tong to facilitate the construction of the mass transit railway. After the completion of the Kwun Tong line in 1979, the station will serve as a transfer station of the line.
geographical position
Kowloon Tong is located in the north of Kowloon, Hong Kong, China. Most of it is located in the urban area of Kowloon, south of Lion Rock Mountain, north of Boundary Street, east of Shek Kip Mei, west of Kowloon City and Lok Fu. This area is a rare low-density development area in the urban area of Hong Kong. It mainly consists of bungalows and villas. The environment is quiet, so it attracts many people from the upper middle class. There are many famous schools in this district, which is the main famous campus in Kowloon. In addition, the district is famous for its clock Hotel and homes for the aged.
Kowloon Tong covers the area along Waterloo Road to the north of Boundary Street, including Union Road and broadcast Road, and bounded by MTR Kowloon Tong Station to the West. The area between Waterloo Road and Kowloon Tsai Park is known as Kowloon Tsai and is generally regarded as part of Kowloon Tong. As another village in the west of Sham Shui Po District is also a low-density development area, and the MTR Kowloon Tong station which divides the Kowloon urban area and Sham Shui Po District, it is traditionally regarded as a part of Kowloon Tong (such as the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Yau Tsim Mong District, the Kowloon entrance of the Hong Kong Cross Harbour Tunnel and the Hong Kong Stadium as part of Hung Hom).
In 1947, the "Kau lung Tong" on the map is the location of another village garden. In 1964, "Kowloon Tong" on the map was the location of another village.
Historical evolution
In the 1920s, the Hong Kong Government of China developed Kowloon Tong and tried to develop it into a low-density residential area. The area is dominated by bungalows and villas, and many trees are preserved, which is quite suburban. At the beginning of the development, the area attracted a lot of rich British businessmen to live in. In order to understand their homesickness, the streets in the district are mostly named after British counties. Jiulong Tong Garden was built before the war. It still has many decades of history, even the earliest buildings in 1920s when the garden was built.
Kowloon Tong Garden is the first garden city in Hong Kong to be built according to the famous garden city concept of Howard Ebenezer Howard, a British planner. It is said that this is a failure, but it is also a rare western style residential area in Hong Kong. In view of this, the government has specially reserved this special pattern, stipulating that the maximum plot ratio and the number of layers for development there are 0.6 and 3. So over the years, the buildings there have been low density. Because of this, it is impossible for the landlords to rebuild the buildings with dozens of floors. Because of this, the landlords only need three floors to sell / rent the land to some hotels, old people's homes and wedding dress shops. Because of this, the appearance of today is gradually formed.
In 1956, the Hong Kong Baptist College (today's Hong Kong Baptist University), which was built on land allocated by the Hong Kong government, was opened.
In 1974, the Kowloon Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) set up a station in Kowloon Tong (now one of the MTR stations) to facilitate the construction of the mass transit railway, so as to serve as a transfer station for the Kwun Tong line after its completion in 1979. With the opening of the lion rock tunnel and the Hong Kong Cross Harbour Tunnel, Kowloon Tong has become the main channel connecting Hong Kong Island and the new territories.

hotel
Ideal hotel is a clock hotel located near Kowloon Tong Station in Hong Kong. The reason why this hotel is famous in Hong Kong is not because of its excellent service or environment, but because of its moderate location, just between the railway station and bus station of the two lines of the MTR, making it an "ideal" location for people to meet.
In the 1980s, the ideal hotel was a love affair resort for many rich and famous people in Hong Kong. It was quiet and undisturbed. This also made the hotel a synonym for those who alluded to cheating at that time, although there were many other clock hotels of similar nature in Kowloon Tong. However, since the expansion of the nearby Hong Kong Baptist University and the completion of the City University of Hong Kong, Kowloon Tong has become more and more lively, and the entrance of the hotel has become a gathering place for students to leave before holding activities.
