During the 60 years of reign of Emperor Qianlong in Xuzhou, he went to Xuzhou four times, all of which were on the way to the south. The main purpose is to "read the river", that is to investigate the water regime of the Yellow River and the river defense project in Xuzhou. In the early April of the 22nd year of Qianlong (1757), Hongli sailed north and abandoned his boat to land in Xuzhou. It was not long after the disaster that starving people were everywhere and pestilence was prevalent. The accompanying minister once advised the emperor not to go to Xuzhou in person, but Qianlong insisted on visiting Xuzhou. He wrote in the poem "disaster surplus": "the plague will go, as the ancients said, it will go for Xuzhou, and the officials should stop. If you go to guanmin village, you'd better bear summer and avoid it. Emperor Qianlong paid more attention to the people's sufferings. He did not avoid the plague and came to the disaster area in person, which was a kind of diligent administration and appeasing the people. After this inspection, Qianlong instructed the local government to build a palace to make it convenient for them to live in Xuzhou when they came back. Qianlong's palace is located at the foot of the beautiful Yunlong mountain. Qianlong was very satisfied with the palace and wrote two couplets for the palace himself: "the famous garden depends on the green water, and the wild bamboo goes up to the green sky", "one peak is beautiful outdoors, and many gullies are deep in front of the steps". Qianlong palace is located at the north foot of Yunlong. There are two main halls and two East-West rooms. It was opened as the city museum in 1975. It has a rich collection of ancient cultural relics, among which the Han Dynasty stone reliefs are the most precious. Dongyuan is a national style stele garden, small seven exquisite, elegant and beautiful. There are many stone carvings of Su Shi, Yue Fei and other celebrities on the wall of the monument.

Xuzhou Qianlong palace, also known as Yunlong mountain palace,
Located at the northern foot of Yunlong mountain in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, it used to be a temporary place for the Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty to have a rest and engage in political activities in Xuzhou during his southern tour. Now it is under the jurisdiction of Xuzhou Museum. It is a rare cultural relic scenic spot in Xuzhou City. The Qianlong palace in Xuzhou was built in 1757. At that time, Emperor Qianlong visited Xuzhou for the first time during his southern tour. Local officials built this palace for him at the foot of Yunlong mountain. At first, the palace was built on a large scale. It was close to Tushan in the north, Yunlong mountain in the south, Yuqiao in the East and Zhongshan South Road in the West.
After the palace was built, Emperor Qianlong was very satisfied. Of the four times he came to Xuzhou, except the third time, he lived in the palace for the other three times. He also wrote two couplets in his own handwriting: "the famous garden is in the green water, and the wild bamboo is on the green sky"; "one peak is beautiful outdoors, and many gullies are deep in front of the steps." From these descriptions, we can imagine the beautiful and pleasant scenery of the palace. In April 1762, when Qianlong returned from his third tour to the south, he passed through Xuzhou. There was a poem that said, "two days of Yunlong's stay, four times of communication." Although the emperor, who had a habit of touring mountains and rivers and was fond of gardens, had seen countless famous mountains and waters and had a wide range of knowledge, he still loved the palace in Xuzhou very much.
