Pangu temple is located in the south foot of Taihang Mountain in the north of Dashe village, kejing Town, northeast of Jiyuan City, 15 kilometers away from the urban area. The temple was founded in the northern and Southern Dynasties (479 AD), with a history of more than 1500 years. According to historical records, since its establishment, the Tang and Ming dynasties have been the most prosperous. Due to their disrepair and dilapidation, in 1989, under the leadership of Zhang Zhihu, the cultural management office, they raised more than 200000 yuan to carry out a comprehensive renovation, which basically restored the original appearance. Pangu temple is built close to the mountain and ascends from south to north. The existing monuments in the temple include the imperial stele Pavilion, jiegong hall, Mountain Gate, autumn leaf pool, Daxiong hall, bell and Drum Tower, East and West Wing rooms, laomu hall, a brick tower at the back of the temple and a cliff inscription.

Historical evolution
It is said that more than 4000 years ago, Dayu discovered Pangu tomb during flood control, so Pangu temple was set up for worship. In 1278, Kublai Khan, the emperor of the Yuan Dynasty, issued an edict to expand Pangu temple with the word "Wang", which is called "Pangu Temple". It has been built for more than 730 years. During this period, it has been rebuilt for 14 times. Among them, it reached the peak in the Ming Dynasty, which is one of the highest buildings in China. It was destroyed in 1947 Fire, the existing Pangu temple was built in 1991 in the northeast of the site. In order to cooperate with the application of Pangu culture for national intangible cultural heritage, carry forward Pangu culture, build Pangu cultural industry chain, and improve the city image and cultural taste, the Qingxian County government raised more than 40 million yuan in 2010 to rebuild Pangu temple on the site of the 27th year of Kangxi reign, which was completed in 2012.
