Bailong Park

People's Park is also called Bailong park. There is a white Dragon Lake with an area of about 70000 square meters in the park. The lake is clear and blue. The lake bank is covered with green bamboos and the weeping willows are swaying. There is an island in the center of the lake. The Jiuqu bridge in the West and the sankongyue bridge in the North connect the island with the lake bank. Yachts on the lake, or racing under the blue sky, or wandering in the shade, also become a scene.

Step into the garden gate and follow 141 steps to the top of Wangxian slope. This is the main body of the people's Park. In 1937, in order to guard Nanning and its hometown Wuming, Lu Rongting, a tour envoy of Guangdong and Guangxi, demolished the "Liugong Temple" and built Zhenning fort. He set up a cannon with a range of 12000 meters. This is a two-story ring castle built of huge stones. A German kruber cannon made in 1890 is placed on the fort. There is an ancient stele Gallery at the foot of the fort. On the fort, you can not only have a panoramic view of Nanning City, but also evoke a wisp of nostalgia.

On the hillside in the northeast corner of the park, there is also a magnificent monument of revolutionary martyrs, 25 meters high, engraved with the golden characters "people's Heroes forever", surrounded by green pines and cypresses. The whole building is solemn.

Zhenning battery

Monument to revolutionary martyrs

Built in 1956, the monument to revolutionary martyrs in Nanning is a historical monument to commemorate the revolutionary martyrs who died bravely for the liberation of Nanning and the establishment of new China during the great revolution, the war of resistance against Japan and the war of liberation. In December 1995, with the consent of the Party committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the people's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, it was named the patriotic education base of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The monument is 20 meters high and combines the architectural styles of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. On the white marble inlaid with the stele, seven vigorous characters of "monument to revolutionary martyrs" inscribed by Chen Manyuan, the first Secretary of Guangxi provincial Party committee of the Communist Party of China, are engraved on the north and south sides respectively, and eight big characters of "revolutionary martyrs are immortal" are engraved on the East and west sides respectively.

In the center of the square at the foot of wangxianpo, there is a "monument of revolutionary martyrs in Nanning", on which the names and resumes of 103 revolutionary martyrs who died bravely for the liberation of Nanning from 1927 to December 4, 1949 are inscribed.

On the left and right sides of the square are two Memorial pavilions, "Zhanzhong" and "Yanglie".

Through the inscriptions of revolutionary martyrs, we seem to see the constant figure of revolutionary martyrs fighting with blood.

San Gong Temple

During the reign of emperor you of the Northern Song Dynasty (1049-1054), Tao Bi, the governor of Yongzhou, built "three public temples" in memory of Di Qing, Yu Jing and sun Xie. Later generations added Su Yu, Wang Shouren and mangjitu, and changed them into "Liugong Temple". In 1937, in order to guard Nanning and its hometown Wuming, Lu Rongting, a tour envoy of Guangdong and Guangxi, demolished the "Liugong Temple" and built Zhenning fort.
