It is located at 113 Shuiyin Road, north of Xianlie Road, Guangzhou, covering an area of 62000 square meters. The cemetery was built in 1933 with donations from overseas Chinese in memory of the soldiers who died in the Anti Japanese campaign of Songhu on January 28, 1932 of the 19th Route Army of the national revolutionary army. The whole mausoleum building is grand in scale, rigorous in layout, solemn and elegant in shape. The North-South passage forms a very obvious central axis. The main building is made of granite stone, which is a mausoleum full of ancient Roman architectural style. As a witness of the achievements of the people's struggle in modern Chinese history, the cemetery is a national key martyr memorial building protection unit, a national and Shengshi patriotic education base, a national key cultural relic protection unit, and a patriotic education classroom for young students and domestic tourists. There is a triumphal arch in the cemetery, which is made of granite. The gate tower, built in 1932, is located at the intersection of shaheding, Xianlie road and Shuiyin road. It is 13.4 meters high and 11 meters wide, covering an area of 40.7 square meters. The front of the gate is engraved with the inscription "cemetery of the 19th Route Army soldiers killed in the Anti Japanese War" by Lin Sen, the former chairman of the national government, and the back is engraved with the inscription "blue blood and red heart" by Song Ziwen, the executive director of the national government. In 1931, the Japanese imperialists made the September 18th Incident and occupied the three remnants of Northeast China. Then on January 28th, 1932, the Japanese invaders stormed into Zhabei, Shanghai. At that time, Jiang guangnai, commander in chief of the 19th Route Army and CAI tingkai, the patriotic general of the Kuomintang stationed in Songhu area, led the whole army to fight against the enemy. The "Songhu Anti Japanese War" which shocked China and foreign countries broke out. Later, the Fifth Army in central Zhangzhi also took part in the battle, which dealt a heavy blow to the Japanese army. The officers and men of the 19th route army fought bravely against the invasion of the enemy. They fought hard for 33 days and fought more than 100 times, forcing the Japanese commander of Sanyi to lose more than 10000 troops. But in the end, the 19th route army retreated to the second line of defense because it was outnumbered. On May 5, the "Songhu armistice agreement" was signed, and the tragic and fierce Songhu Anti Japanese war ended. The Anti Japanese War of the 19th Route Army in Songhu is a great feat of the Chinese nation against the Japanese aggressors. It delayed the pace of Japan's attempt to occupy China, stimulated the fighting spirit of the whole nation's army and people to defend the country and resist the enemy, and created a new situation of local Anti Japanese of the Chinese army. It is of great significance in the history of China's Anti Japanese war.
