Zhao Shuli was born in 1906 in weichi village. When he was young, he was brilliant. At the age of eight, he could recite the Three Character Classic and the hundred family names. At the age of 15, he could play, play and sing all kinds of music, and became a master of the "eight sound club". After joining the Communist Party of China in 1927, he began to popularize revolutionary literature and art in the Taihang Mountain Anti Japanese base area in his early years. After the publication of Mao Zedong's speech at Yan'an Forum on literature and art in 1942, he successively wrote such famous novels as Xiao erhei's marriage and Li Youcai's Banhua, which reflected the rural struggle and had a wide influence on the Anti Japanese base. In the summer of 1945, the novel changes of Lijiazhuang came out. Zhou Yang, Mao Dun and other famous writers and critics published articles one after another, highly praising Zhao Shuli's achievements in novel creation. He took part in the founding ceremony on October 1, 1949. He has successively served as a deputy to the National People's Congress, a deputy to the Eighth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, a member of the Standing Committee of the all China Federation of literary and art circles, the chairman of the China dianyi Association, and a director of the China Writers Association. Sanliwan was published in 1955, which is the first excellent work reflecting agricultural cooperation in China. His short stories mainly include "floor", "heirloom", "register", "hands that can't be caught", etc. his works have been translated into Russian, English, French, Japanese and other literature, and are widely spread all over the world. This outstanding people's writer died on September 23, 1970. In 1980, workers' Publishing House published four volumes of Zhao Shuli's anthology.

Zhao Shuli's former residence was built in the Qing Dynasty. It is a typical courtyard in the northern rural area. It faces south and its gate is located in the southeast corner. There are 3 main rooms, 2 East and West ear rooms, 3 East and West Westinghouse rooms and 2 southwest small rooms. At present, the south house has collapsed, leaving only the foundation site. All the buildings are two-story buildings of brick and wood structure. The main hall and west house are out of eaves, and the stairs are placed in the courtyard.
A brief introduction to Zhao Shuli's life
Zhao Shuli (1906-1970), whose real name is Zhao Shuli, was born in Qinshui, Shanxi Province. He is a people's artist and novelist. He used more than 130 pseudonyms such as he Hualu, Wang Jiashi and Ding Zhi. He was born into a peasant family in weichi village, Qinshui County, Jincheng city. He was admitted to a normal school in 1925. In 1926, he was expelled because of his participation in the learning tide. The next year, he was arrested and jailed. After being released from prison, he became a rural primary school teacher and lived in the countryside. His works began to be published in 1932. At the beginning of the Anti Japanese war in 1937, he took part in the revolution and joined the Communist Party of China in the same year. He has successively served as district head, supplement of Yellow River daily, supplement of Chinese, etc. The creation and publication of Xiao erhei's marriage (1943) and the changes of Li Jiazhuang (1946) established his important position in the history of Chinese new literature. In 1949, he began to edit "talking and singing" and "quyi". In 1955, sanliwan, an excellent novel, was published. It is the first work that deeply reflects the agricultural cooperation in China. Other works, such as exercise, hands that can't be trapped, and Lingquan cave, have had a great impact. The artistic achievement of Zhao Shuli's novels lies in the creation of a new and lively popular style loved by the common people.
Zhao Shuli's creation road for the masses of the people has had a profound influence in the field of modern and contemporary literature in China, forming a literary school commonly known as "yam egg school". Zhao Shuli is famous for his depiction of "the real image of Chinese farmers". His works have been widely spread in more than 40 countries, such as Germany, Italy, Japan, France, the United States, Norway, Thailand, Romania and so on, and have become valuable assets of the world library.
Zhao Shuli was a deputy to the first, second and third National People's Congress. He is a member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the China Federation of literary and art circles, executive director of the China Writers Association, vice chairman of the Preparatory Committee of the China quyi Improvement Association, vice chairman of the Beijing Municipal Federation of literary and art circles, vice chairman of the China quyi Research Association, chairman of the China quyi workers association, and chief editor of Quyi magazine.
In 1970, Zhao Shuli was persecuted and killed by the counter revolutionary group of the gang of four. He was only 64 years old.
