Fujian dajinhu

The tourist area consists of five scenic spots: Jinhu, shangqingxi, zhuangyuanyan, Luohanshan and the ancient city of Taining. On February 11, 2005, it became the core part of the "Taining World Geopark" assessed by UNESCO and became another world-class tourist attraction in Fujian after Wuyishan's "double world heritage".

Main attractions

Shangqingxi

Located in the northeast of the Geopark, it starts from Jigong Mountain in the north, reaches Hongshishan qiujiapai in the south, takes aoshang Yangchuan line (Chongan Shiyu fault) as the boundary in the northwest, and takes Xufang, Zhukou, zhushiyan and longtouyan as the boundary in the southeast. On the plane, it forms a half moon shaped basin with a total area of 108.97km2.

The basin is mainly composed of red clastic rocks of Late Cretaceous Chong'an formation. The rocks generally incline to the north-west with an dip angle of 15-30 degrees. It is a Danxia Landform Scenic Spot composed of faulted basins.

The Danxia landform is well developed, which is characterized by the peculiar and rare deep valley meandering and reticulated Lane Valley and Zhang valley landscape. It includes three scenic spots and six scenic groups.

Tiancheng rock

It is located in the north of shangqingxi scenic spot, covering an area of about 16.84km2.

The Chongan formation in this area is characterized by faults and joints in the South-North and north-east directions, resulting in the formation of deep valleys and gorges. The Danxia landform with steep cliff and developed caves, such as Jinxi deep canyon meander, and Danxia peak and column landform are also well developed. The red cliff and peak column of Danya are 150-200m high, which is magnificent.

There are Jigong Mountain Red Cliff, sister peak, Yuanyang line of heaven and other landscape. In addition, Jinxi deep valley meander, which is rare in China, is a Danxia landform area to be further developed.

Putuo rock

Jiangxi, putuoyan, xiadi and xufanggeng, located in the middle of shangqingxi scenic spot, are adjacent to Shiwang gorge group scenic spots in the southwest, covering an area of about 42.07km2. The main landscapes include putuoyan, Bijiashan, xiaojinhu, jiajingyan, xiaoqikeng gorge ecological orchard, fengliushi, etc.

Bijia mountain is a peak cluster landform, similar to Bijia mountain.

Putuoyan is a large forehead shaped cave with a length of 150m, a height of 5-20m, and a depth of several meters to 15m. There are stalactites formed by dissolution in the cave, and the temple of putuoyan is still under repair.

In the north of xiadi village, there is a deep meandering place in the southeast of xiadi village, where there is a mountain like a woman lying on her back with her hands and feet spread out (photo 30). A round mountain ridge opposite it stretches out, aiming at its lower part. The local people call it "Fengliu stone", and its shape is very lifelike.

On the east side of putuoyan is a gorge type reservoir with many caves and dangling red cliffs on both sides of the reservoir bank. The lake has green hills and rippling green waves. Its landscape features are similar to that of Jinhu, so it is called xiaojinhu. The cool Valley is cool in midsummer. The air is fresh and extremely cool. The local people call it natural air conditioning. In addition, there are thousands of ancient trees on the cliff, and the rare plants are luxuriant It is a rare resort for sightseeing and leisure.

Shiwang Gorge

It is located in the south of shangqingxi scenic spot, starting from Shiwang in the East, zhuangyuanyan in the west, Hongshishan in the south, Chongji in the north, adjacent to putuoyan scenic spot, with an area of 50.05km2.

In the area, faults and joint fissures are well developed in north-south, north-west and north-east directions, forming a Danxia landform area characterized by deep valley meandering, reticulated alley Valley and ZhangGu (a line of sky). It includes shangqingxi, zhuangyuanyan, Shiwang Grand Canyon and qizhenyan.

1. Zhuangyuan Yanjing group

Located in the southwest of Shiwang gorge group scenic area, it is a long block distribution in northwest, 1750m long and 500-600m wide.
