Liang Qichao's Former Residence Memorial is a national key cultural relic protection unit. It is located in chakeng village, Xinhui, Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province. It is located at the foot of the beautiful and gloomy Fengshan mountain, surrounded by fish ponds, water networks and fertile fields. Big banyan trees, stone lanes and blue brick houses are distributed in an orderly manner, with ancient and simple folk customs.
There are many celebrities in southern Guangdong. The beautiful and rich Xinhui gave birth to Liang Qichao, a famous enlightenment thinker, political activist, educator, litterateur and academic master in modern Chinese history, who is known as "a gifted scholar of modern Chinese encyclopedia".

Liang Qichao's former residence, built in the reign of Emperor Guangxu of Qing Dynasty, is an antique blue brick and earthen tile bungalow, which is composed of former residence, Yitang library, cloister and other buildings, with a construction area of more than 400 square meters. The former residence has a main hall, a living room, a dining room and two ear rooms. There is a patio in front of each of the two halls, and a staircase on the side of the living room leads directly to the pavilion study at the top, overlooking the scenery of the cliff and sea. The Yitang library was built by Liang Qichao's great grandfather, where Liang Qichao studied and accepted the traditional Confucian ideas. In the summer of the 18th year of Guangxu, Liang Qichao and his newly married wife Li Huixian returned home and lived in the library The eldest daughter Liang Sishun was also born here.
In memory of Ren Gong's unswerving patriotism and outstanding contributions in education and academy, we built the memorial hall of Liang Qichao's former residence in 2001. It is designed by Mr. Mo Bozhi, academician of Chinese Academy of engineering and master of Chinese architecture. It covers an area of 1600 square meters and combines Chinese and Western architectural forms. It not only has the architectural charm of Lingnan overseas Chinese hometown in the late Qing Dynasty, but also reflects the style of Tianjin ice room. With rich historical pictures, the memorial shows Ren Gong's patriotism and lifelong struggle. Some of Ren Gong's works are displayed, including "ice room collection", "Ou Youxin album" and "Shi Wu Bao", "Qing Yi Bao" and "Guo Feng Bao". It shows Ren Gong's great patriotism and ideological system, and makes people have a more correct understanding of Liang Qichao More in-depth understanding.
