2、 Anecdotes
Speaking of qifengqiao, I have to say that during the period of the Republic of China, Weng Tam, who served as the Secretary General of the Civil Affairs Department of Gansu Province and seven County heads of Qingtian, Shaanxi Chang'an, Zhejiang Jiaxing, Suichang, Yongjia, and Jiangsu Wujin, was a foreigner from wengshan. When he was a child, he went to Wenchang temple every day and had to pass by a small stream. Once, the stream was relatively large, and his father was not at ease, so he sent him to school. A stranger carrying a piggy across the stream accidentally slipped, and even the man and the pig were washed away by the stream. Fortunately, Weng's father was brave enough to rescue the passers-by and the piggy. Although Weng was only a teenager at that time, he said: "the traffic in this place is not convenient. We must build a stone arch bridge in the future." After hearing this, his father said with a smile, "the man who built the bridge is not born yet." Weng said, "Dad, who said the man who built the bridge has not been born yet? I will be the bridge builder in the future. " When Weng grew up, he became the head of Qingtian County. He did not forget what he said when he was a child. In the 13th year of the Republic of China, he took the lead in donating money to build a bridge, named Qifeng bridge.
