Huahu lake is located in the 213 national highway between Ruoergai, Sichuan Province and Langmusi, Gansu Province. It is a natural Haizi on the grassland of re'er dam. There are three adjacent Haizi on the dam. The smallest is called cuolajian, the largest is called hachu lake, and Huahu lake is the middle one.

The most common route is a long journey of about 500 kilometers from Chengdu. One route is from Duwen Expressway to Wenchuan, bypassing Lixian County, passing miyaro, Hongyuan, Tangke, Zoige, and then to Geer dam and Huahu. After arriving in Wenchuan, you can go all the way along national highway 213, through Maoxian and Songpan, to Ruoergai and directly to Huahu, which generally takes 7-8 hours.

Ruoergai County is no different from thousands of small towns in China, except that the streets are full of dark skinned Tibetans, wearing thick Tibetan robes in the temperature of about 10 degrees.
