The Yuanming new garden in Zhuhai is based on the Yuanming garden in Beijing. Eighteen of its forty scenes are selected according to the ratio of 1:1. Western buildings

A group of European style garden buildings built in Changchun Garden, commonly known as western garden, are composed of more than ten buildings and gardens, such as Haiyantang, yuanyingguan, Dashuifa, etc. It was built in the 12th-24th year of Qianlong (guided by missionaries Lang shining, Jiang Youren, Wang Zhicheng, etc.) and built by Chinese craftsmen. The architectural form is the baroque style of European period, and the gardening form is the "Renault" style. But in the garden and architectural decoration, we also absorbed many traditional methods in our country. For example, the main body of these buildings is western style, and the roof decoration adopts the traditional glazed tiles of ancient China. Wanfang Anhe

Wanfang Anhe was built in 1726 ad in the early years of Yongzheng. Its architectural form is very peculiar. The house is built in the pool, which becomes a ten thousand character shape, implying that the world is flat. There are 33 houses, East, West, North and south, and the rooms are connected by twists and turns. In terms of ventilation, warmth and lighting, they all have their own unique characteristics, which are warm in winter and cool in summer. Emperor Yongzheng preferred to live here. The plaque in the south main room is inscribed with "Wan Fang an he", which later became the general name of this area. In the fourth year of Yongzheng, the first year of Wanfang Anhe, Yongzheng granted Hongli (Qianlong) a place to study.

It was first built around 1729 A.D. it is a "Quyuan" imitating the West Lake in Hangzhou. Quyuan in the West Lake used to be a wine making workshop in the Song Dynasty. It was surrounded by pools with the most lotus flowers, which swayed in the wind, so it was named "Quyuan Fenghe". Qianlong liked this scene very much, so he imitated it and put it in the garden during his southern tour. Qianlong once praised the beautiful scenery here as better than Xizi Lake in Hangzhou.

Fuxi Music Office

Built around 1727 A.D., it is the place to appreciate lotus in the garden. On the water covered with lotus leaves, there is a group of water halls and a fragrant snow corridor extending to the water. Emperor Qianlong and Emperor Jiaqing also liked to sing poems here. When Emperor Qianlong lived in Yuanmingyuan, he wrote the most poems in Lianxi.
