Communication University of China

Communication University of China is a key university of "211 Project" directly under the Ministry of education. The university is committed to high-level personnel training and scientific research in radio, television, film, Internet, publishing, newspapers and new media. It is a comprehensive university with the coordinated development of Arts, engineering, arts, management, science, economics, law and education, and characterized by information communication. The school is located on the Bank of the Guyun River in the eastern suburb of Beijing, China. The campus covers an area of 708 mu, with a total area of 460000 square meters. The school is known as the cradle of China's radio, film and television communication talents. Over the past 50 years, the university has trained more than 60000 graduates and more than 350000 in-service personnel for the radio, film and television system and information communication industry. Alumni spread all over the country and more than 70 countries and regions in the world, forming a backbone team from leading cadres to professionals. Many of them have become famous journalists, editors, broadcasters, program hosts, directors, screenwriters, producers, translators and senior engineering and technical experts.

The university has three departments, namely, journalism department, film and television art department and science and engineering department. The university has a group of professors and scholars who enjoy a good reputation at home and abroad. There are more than 900 full-time teachers, of which more than 50% are professors and associate professors. More than 100 famous experts and scholars at home and abroad have been employed as distinguished professors, visiting professors and part-time professors.

The school has advanced professional experiment center (room), multimedia campus network, cable TV digital transmission network, modern distance education network and library information resource network. The University strives to build a modern digital library characterized by information dissemination, with a collection of 1.05 million books, more than 500000 boxes (sheets) of audio-visual materials, more than 3000 kinds of newspapers and periodicals, and more than 8000 kinds of electronic newspapers and periodicals.

The university is an important scientific research center in the field of information communication in China. It has an information science and Technology Research Institute and a media development research institute. The school sets up a college of distance and continuing education, adopts various teaching modes such as correspondence, night University and modern distance education, and establishes a multi-media, multi form and multi-level continuing education system to provide all-round continuing education services for the field of information communication.
