Fujian Agricultural Vocational and technical college is a public full-time ordinary university approved by Fujian Provincial People's government. Its predecessor was Zhegu and Yuegu silkworm school founded in 1902, with a history of more than 100 years. The college has two campuses, xiangsiling and Shoushan. Xiangsiling Campus (Department) is located in xiangsiling (37km away from Fuxia Road) in the southern suburb of Fuzhou City, and Shoushan campus is located at 190 shangsan Road, Cangshan District, Fuzhou City. The college covers an area of 667 mu, with a construction area of 120000 square meters. The total value of teaching equipment is more than 15 million yuan, and the library has a collection of 300000 books. There are 5 departments including Biotechnology Department, animal science department, Horticulture Department, economic management department and information technology department, with 23 majors and nearly 3000 students. The college has a strong faculty of 273, including 46 teachers with the title of associate professor or above, 80 "double qualification" teachers, 86 teachers with doctor's and master's degrees, and a team of teachers with doctor's and master's degrees

The college and China Agricultural University jointly hold distance undergraduate degree education. At the same time, some outstanding fresh graduates are selected to continue their studies in Fuzhou University, Fujian Normal University, Fujian agriculture and Forestry University and other undergraduate colleges every year, which provides a variety of channels for students who want to further their studies.

The college has actively carried out foreign exchange work, successively invited experts from France, Israel and New Zealand to give lectures in the college, established academic exchange and cooperation relations with Taiwan Zhongzhou Institute of technology and other schools, and extensively carried out teaching and scientific research exchange and cooperation.
