The PLA naval land war academy, formerly known as the PLA naval arms Command Academy, is an institution of higher learning specialized in training naval surface ship command officers. It was established on December 12, 1977.

The college has a strong faculty, with more than 70 professors and associate professors, more than 150 lecturers, engineers and experimenters, and more than 130 teaching assistants and assistant experimenters. There are two departments, three majors, more than 30 training rooms, laboratories and audio-visual teaching center with advanced equipment. The library has a collection of nearly 200000 books. In 2000, the University of Defense Science and technology jointly set up a training center for doctoral students majoring in management science and engineering.

The Institute has a number of large-scale teaching activity places with complete facilities, such as teaching building, experimental building, library, Graduate building, track and field training ground, military obstacle field, swimming pool, light weapons shooting range and cultural activity center; After years of hard work, the teaching staff has developed a number of advanced simulation training equipment and computer multimedia courseware, such as ship ARPA collision avoidance simulation training system, Navy tactical simulation training system, anti submarine warfare simulation training system, computer navigation simulation training system, missile attack trainer, etc; Educational Technology Center, computer Campus Network Center, simulation training center and computer multimedia aided software development center have been established.

The college has a team of teachers who are loyal to the party and military education, adapt to higher teaching and scientific research tasks, with high quality and excellent business, and has formed a relatively perfect teaching system and scientific research system. Professors and associate professors, who account for 23% of the total number of teachers, have made important contributions to teaching, scientific research and personnel training. 98 people have won the third class merit and 408 people have been rated as excellent teachers. Among them, there is one national excellent teacher, seven military excellent teachers and 13 Navy excellent teachers.

After admission, no military status, not to move accounts. 2. Major: Computer Science and technology, law, international trade, administration, e-commerce. 3. Learning form and length of schooling: full-time undergraduate, four-year length of schooling. 4. Graduation certificate: those who have passed the study period and meet the requirements of student status management of the college will be awarded the full-time undergraduate diploma of the military academy. Those who meet the requirements of bachelor's degree can be granted the bachelor's degree upon their own application. At the same time, they can also voluntarily apply to participate in the distance education of national key universities. After passing the examination, they will be awarded the undergraduate diploma of national higher education which is electronically registered on the national education network. Those who meet the requirements will be awarded the corresponding bachelor's degree. After graduation, the students will not be dispatched and will choose their own jobs. The college will recommend the excellent graduates to the relevant units for employment.
