Southwest Jiaotong University is a national key university directly under the Ministry of education. Founded in 1896, the school formerly known as the imperial Chinese Railway College of Shanhaiguan, is the first engineering university in China and the birthplace of higher education of civil engineering, transportation engineering and mining and Metallurgy Engineering in China.
