Hubei Vocational College of Finance and taxation

Hubei Vocational College of Finance and taxation is located at No.301 Lujia street, Wuchang District, Wuhan city. It is adjacent to national highway 107 in the East, Beijing Zhuhai Expressway, Shanghai Chengdu Expressway and Wuhan Central in the south, Wuchang railway station in the north and Yangtze River in the West. The college is approved by the people's Government of Hubei Province, registered by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China, qualified for higher education, and the only public full-time ordinary higher vocational college in the national tax system, which is mainly for finance and taxation, involving industry and commerce, foreign languages, information and other disciplines. Administratively, it is subordinate to the Local Taxation Bureau of Hubei Province, and its education and teaching business is under the guidance of the Education Department of Hubei Province It is the "national computer technology application level examination training base" and "National International Business English training center and certification examination point" confirmed by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China, the Hubei provincial tax cadre education and training center confirmed by the State Administration of Taxation, and the "civil servant training base" confirmed by the provincial personnel department.

With the approval of the provincial people's government, the State Administration of Taxation, Hubei Provincial Department of Finance and Hubei Provincial Bureau of Taxation jointly set up the college. In May 2004, Hubei finance and taxation vocational college was established on the basis of the original college. According to the characteristics of higher vocational education, the college broadens its thinking, updates its concept, advances with the times and develops in an all-round way. Over the past 20 years, it has trained more than 16000 college and technical secondary school talents and more than 4000 tax cadres with non academic education.

The college adheres to the school running philosophy of "quality based school, characteristic based school, talent based school and reform based school", and forms a professional system with finance and economics as the main body and other professional coordinated development. At present, there are 13 majors, namely accounting, taxation, asset evaluation and management, real estate operation and valuation, marketing, logistics management, hotel management, e-commerce, computer application technology, computer network technology, computer art design, animation design and production, and business English. Accounting and taxation are the key majors. At present, there are 3869 students, 222 teachers, 43 teachers with the title of deputy senior or above (including 31 with the title of associate professor or above), and 72 "double qualification" teachers.

The infrastructure of the college is constantly improving, including new teaching building, comprehensive building, library, experimental training building, student activity center, student apartment, canteen, indoor and outdoor sports venues and supporting facilities. All classrooms are equipped with multimedia equipment, with 18 computers per 100 students, and equipped with the latest training simulation software.

The college has been successively rated as an industry civilized unit by the provincial Party committee and the provincial government, as an advanced grass-roots unit of Ideological and political education for college students in Hubei Province by the provincial university working committee and the Provincial Department of education, as an advanced grass-roots party organization by the provincial university working committee, as a garden school and advanced unit of Ideological and political education by the Provincial Department of education, and as a civilized unit by the Wuhan municipal Party committee and the municipal government.

The development goal of the "Eleventh Five Year" development plan of the college is: by 2010, the college will be built into a well-known higher vocational college with liberal arts as the main subject, liberal arts and science as well as a training base for tax cadres in Hubei Province.
