Xi'an Academy of fine arts is located in the southern suburb of Xi'an city. The campus covers an area of more than 300 mu, with a construction area of more than 100000 square meters. The campus environment is quiet and elegant, with towering green trees, green grass and folk stone carvings everywhere, with a strong humanistic atmosphere. Xi'an Academy of fine arts, founded in 1949, is the only higher academy of Fine Arts established by the Central People's Government in Northwest China in accordance with the overall layout of the country. Her predecessor is the Art College of Northwest military university. Since 1978, the college has been recruiting postgraduates. Both fine arts and design arts have the right to confer master's degrees. The academy is the ninth batch of doctoral degree authorized units granted by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, and fine arts is the doctoral degree authorized point. The college is qualified to accept foreign students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and foreign experts in culture and education. The discipline of fine arts is a key discipline at the provincial level. The major of fine arts painting and the major of design art are rated as famous brand majors by Shaanxi Provincial Department of education. The college enrolls students from all over the country (including foreign students and students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan). There are more than 8700 students in the college. It has a professional teaching team with rich teaching experience and strong scientific research ability. It also employs more than 30 famous scholars, experts and professors at home and abroad as guest professors and honorary professors. So far, 147 people have won national medals and 1123 people have won provincial and ministerial awards. In the international exhibition, dozens of works have been collected by European, American, Japanese and other national exhibition halls.
