History of running a school

The history of the school can be traced back to the normal school in Shandong University in 1902. In October 1950, Shandong Normal University was established on the basis of the former school of education of East China University and the Administrative Cadre School of Shandong Province. It is the earliest undergraduate university established in Shandong Province after the founding of new China. In 1952, the former Department of physics, chemistry and biology of Qilu University was incorporated. In September 1970, the school and some departments moved to Liaocheng. In April 1974, he moved back to Jinan. In March 1981, the University was identified as a provincial key university; in August of the same year, it was renamed Shandong Normal University. In November 2012, the school was identified as one of the first batch of famous schools in Shandong Province to focus on the construction of applied basic talents. In March 2014, the University was approved as a University jointly built by Shandong Province and the Ministry of education.

Complete disciplines

At present, there are 25 colleges, 84 undergraduate majors, 9 postdoctoral research mobile stations, 10 first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degree, 29 first-class disciplines authorized by master's degree, and 15 professional degree authorization categories, covering 10 university disciplines, and the number of disciplines and professional degrees ranks in the forefront of provincial universities.
