North China University of science and technology

North China University of science and technology is a university directly under the Ministry of emergency management, formerly known as the branch of Beijing Coal Management Cadre College invested and built by the former Ministry of coal industry in 1984; in 1993, it was transformed into North China Mining College to recruit students nationwide; in 1997, it was rated as one of the 27 key construction schools of Demonstration Higher Engineering College by the former State Education Commission; in 2002, it was upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate college University, renamed as North China University of science and technology; in 2011 obtained master of Engineering (Safety Engineering) professional degree postgraduate training qualification.

The school is located in Yanjiao national high tech Industrial Development Zone, Hebei Province, adjacent to Beijing, 30 kilometers away from Tiananmen, Beijing 811, 812 bus direct school, superior geographical location, convenient transportation.

The school covers an area of 800 mu, with a building area of 444000 square meters and a total value of nearly 280 million yuan of teaching and experimental equipment. Computer network, multimedia and other modern educational technology are widely used, and they are the city node units of China Education and research network. The library has a building area of 26000 square meters, a collection of 1.298 million paper books, 1.6439 million e-books, 1227 Chinese and foreign newspapers, and 24 various Chinese and foreign databases. It has established a relatively complete literature guarantee system. High standard track and field sports ground, comprehensive gymnasium, swimming pool, basketball, volleyball, tennis court and other sports facilities are complete, campus teaching and living facilities, complete service network, constitute a perfect teaching and living system.

After years of teaching practice, the school has accumulated rich experience in teaching, scientific research and management, and has a relatively strong teaching team. At present, there are 976 full-time teachers, including 3 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (external), 1 foreign academician, 2 National candidates for the new century talents project, 4 experts enjoying special government subsidies, 2 senior experts directly contacted by the central government, 8 national experts on work safety and 8 national experts on work safety emergency. The Ministry of education has been selected into the new century talents support program There are 6 talents, 176 professors and senior professional and technical positions, 308 associate professors and other deputy senior professional and technical positions, and 847 teachers with master's and doctor's degrees.

The school has formed a multi-disciplinary, multi-level and multi form school running system with full-time undergraduate education, second bachelor's degree education, double bachelor's degree education, professional degree postgraduate education and international student education. The undergraduate programs include engineering, management, science, literature, economics, law, education and art. This year, there are 49 undergraduate programs.

At present, the university has one national engineering practice education center, one national college students' off campus practice education base, three national characteristic specialty construction sites, three pilot specialties of "education and training plan for excellent engineers" of the Ministry of education, three provincial and ministerial key laboratories, four provincial teaching experiment demonstration centers, two provincial key disciplines, three provincial key development disciplines, and three provincial product training centers There are 2 brand characteristic specialties, 1 provincial education innovation highland, 1 National University Huang Danian type teacher team, and 1 provincial teaching team. At present, there are nearly 17000 full-time students, including more than 50 foreign students. The initial employment rate of graduates has always been maintained at more than 90%, and the admission rate of undergraduate graduates has been stable at about 15%.

The school and China Coal Mine Safety Technology Training Center implement the management system of "one set of institutions, two brands". It is a public institution directly under the emergency management department, a cadre education and training institution directly under the state organs and ministries, and a national safety production education and training base. Annual training on mine rescue, emergency management, occupational health and safety production technology and management has been carried out for safety supervision, local government party and government leaders and central enterprise leaders, with an annual training scale of about 8000 person times.

The University maintains a long-term and stable working relationship with the international labor organization and the European Commission, and cooperates with universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Latvian to cultivate professionals in various forms. Every year, there are 20 foreign experts and teachers who teach in school for a long time. China Latvia one belt, one road academic exchange center is located in our school.
