Air Force Aviation University of PLA

The air force aviation university is located in Changchun City, Jilin Province, the spring city of northern China. The university consists of seven campuses, covering an area of 19 million square meters. It is distributed in four cities of Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning provinces, like a string of bright pearls inlaid in the vast northeast.

The predecessor of the university is the first aviation school founded by our army in 1946 - Northeast Democratic Alliance aviation school (northeast old aviation school). In 2004, with the approval of the Central Military Commission, the air force aviation university was established by the merger of the former air force second Aviation College, air force Changchun Flight College and air force seventh Flight College, which are closely related to the northeast old Aviation College. After more than 60 years of trials and tribulations, aviators have created more than 10 air forces in the history of the Chinese air force, such as "the first group of female airmen in New China", "the first double bachelor pilots" and "the first undergraduate talents in air technical support". They have trained more than 140000 people of all kinds, including Li Ming, academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering, Wang Hai, Zhang Jihui and Liu Yu Di, Du Fengrui, Li Guangnan, air force maintenance model, aerospace heroes Yang Liwei, Zhai Zhigang and heroic astronauts Fei Junlong, Nie Haisheng, Liu Boming, Jing Haipeng, China's first female astronaut Liu Yang, and a large number of heroic models. Nearly 300 graduates have grown into leading cadres above the military level. The university is known as "the cradle of heroes", "the cradle of pilots", "the cradle of astronauts" and "the cradle of generals".
