Chongqing Police College

Chongqing Police Officer Vocational College is a full-time public security higher vocational college sponsored by Chongqing Municipal People's government, jointly managed by Chongqing Public Security Bureau and Chongqing Education Committee, and mainly managed by Chongqing Public Security Bureau. The college was established in March 2001 on the basis of the former Chongqing public security school and the former Chongqing People's police school.

The college now has two campuses, Shiqiaopu and Songshan, covering an area of 240885 square meters (361 mu), with a total construction area of 45461.97 square meters. The total value of fixed assets is about 55.38 million yuan, including 6.435 million yuan of teaching equipment. The Library covers an area of 3487.80 square meters and has a collection of 167200 books. There are 400 meter track and field standard football field, tactical climbing training wall, basketball court, motor vehicle training ground, boxing and Sanda training arena, training room, gym and other training venues. The college's teaching facilities and equipment can meet the needs of teaching. It is equipped with computer room, voice room, multimedia classroom, traffic laboratory, trace laboratory, document inspection laboratory, forensic evidence room, simulated police station, shooting training range and other basic skills, professional skills training and simulated operation fields. It also has 41 off campus practice and training bases in the city's public security and judicial organs. At present, the college has two professional skill assessment and appraisal institutions: Chongqing Public Security Bureau official gun training center and Chongqing Public Security Bureau police law enforcement qualification training certification center.
