With the rapid economic and social development of Jilin Province and Changchun City, in order to integrate resources, speed up the development of vocational education, and better provide high-end skilled talents for regional economic and social development, Changchun municipal Party committee and municipal government established a "urban Higher Vocational College" in 2000, which focuses on Higher Vocational education and coordinated development of social training and certification education.
The college covers an area of 578 mu, with a building area of 259000 square meters, 900 teaching staff, 10105 full-time students (including 10204 correspondence), and annual social training of over 10000 people. According to the demand of automobile, agricultural products processing, rail transit equipment, photoelectric information, tourism, logistics and other pillar and advantageous industries in Jilin Province and Changchun City, the college has set up nine branches, including automobile, engineering, rail transit, food, information, tourism, commerce, international exchange and training, with 45 majors, to recruit students from 22 provinces in China.
Guided by the scientific outlook on development and following the principle of connotation development, the college has established the school running concept of "morality first, ability oriented, outstanding characteristics and harmonious development", and refined the campus culture with "honesty and excellence" as the core. Following the law of market and higher vocational education, the college has formed a "one main and multiple" school running mode with government leading, industry guiding and enterprise participating. This paper explores the "five tongs" talent training mode of school enterprise integration and work study combination, namely "school enterprise joint development of talent training program, joint construction of professional resources, joint implementation of practical teaching management, joint development of vocational skills assessment, joint completion of post practice and employment", The integration of talent training and talent use has realized the docking of specialty construction with industry and enterprise; the docking of curriculum content with vocational qualification standards and post technical requirements; the docking of teaching process with production process; the docking of academic certificate with vocational qualification certificate; the docking of vocational education with lifelong education. The employment rate of graduates has been more than 95% for five consecutive years, the satisfaction rate of employers has reached 92%, and the employment work has entered the top 50 colleges and universities in China.
The college has a strong faculty. At present, there are 467 full-time teachers, including 38 professors and 299 associate professors, accounting for 88% of the total. At present, the college has 2 national excellent teaching teams and 6 provincial excellent teaching teams, and has a group of famous teachers such as national famous teaching teachers Fu Jiafu, provincial famous teaching teachers Li Mingge and Wang Xiaodong as professional leaders. According to the professional characteristics, the college employs more than 300 "skilled craftsmen" in the front line of industry and enterprises to be part-time teachers.
The major construction of the college has achieved remarkable results. With close cooperation between various majors and enterprises, the education and teaching reform has been deeply promoted, and a three-level specialty construction system has been formed, which is led by five national key majors, namely automobile technology service and marketing, biotechnology and application, numerical control technology, software technology and tourism management, supported by provincial demonstration Majors and key construction majors at the municipal and college levels, and the overall improvement of talent training level has been realized. At present, the college has 5 national key construction majors, 9 provincial demonstration majors and 8 provincial characteristic specialty groups; 7 national excellent courses, 18 excellent courses of Ministry of education and 11 provincial excellent courses; 1 second prize of national teaching achievement and 6 provincial teaching achievement awards.
The college implements the strategy of developing the college through scientific research. At present, there are four applied technology research institutes and one provincial engineering research center. In the past three years, they have carried out 48 technical service research and development projects, won 8 national patents, set up 203 horizontal and vertical projects, published 786 papers, and won 381 awards for teaching and scientific research achievements.
The college has advanced and complete teaching facilities with a total value of 110 million yuan. It has built 10 on campus training bases integrating teaching, training, scientific research, production and technical services, including 5 national training bases and 5 provincial training bases, which can accommodate 3000 people for experiment, training and practice at the same time. All of them have passed the ISO9000:2000 international quality management system certification. The college is the training base for high skilled talents of national mechanical and electrical projects, the vocational teacher training unit of Hong Kong Huaxia foundation, the vocational teacher training center of Jilin Province, and the training center for re employment and rural labor transfer of Changchun City. At present, there are international and domestic training and certification institutions, such as Audi training center, national computer foreign language test center of Ministry of education, vocational skill appraisal institute, etc., which can carry out training and certification in eight categories and 58 projects. Every year, there are more than ten thousand people receiving social training and skill appraisal, and the "double certificate rate" of graduates reaches 92%.
