Xinyang Agricultural College is located in the southern suburb of Xinyang City, a famous historical city, with Xianshan in the west, Shishui in the north, Jigong Mountain in the South and 107 national highway passing by. Founded in 1910, the school was named runingfu secondary industrial school. Over the past 90 years since its establishment, the university has provided more than 40000 talents of all kinds to the society. They have worked hard in all walks of life. Tea making technology, ichthyology and fish histology and Embryology were selected as national excellent courses. The school has six scientific research institutions, including Rice Research Institute, Tea Research Institute, special aquaculture research institute, lawn Engineering Research Institute, microbial Application Research Institute and feed processing research institute.

With the deepening of the national higher education reform, the development of schools has opened a new chapter.
