Guangdong Post and Telecommunications vocational and technical college is a public full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the people's Government of Guangdong Province. It is the only Communication Vocational College in Guangdong Province. Its predecessor is Guangdong Post and Telecommunications College, which has a 65 year history and is known as "Huangpu Military Academy of Guangdong Post and telecommunications".

The college is located in Tianhe University Cultural District of Guangzhou City, with convenient transportation, elegant environment and superior conditions. The campus area of the college is more than 100000 square meters, and the building area is more than 70000 square meters. The existing supporting facilities are perfect, such as training and teaching, experiment, practical training, conference, accommodation and sports venues. The college has modern teaching and scientific research equipment and instruments as well as computer network systems with advanced equipment and perfect management, such as office network, campus network and distance education network.
