Wanjiang College of Anhui Normal University is an independent college (Secondary College) established in 2003 with the approval of the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China. It is sponsored by Anhui Normal University according to the new mechanism and new mode. The school level is full-time ordinary undergraduate. The college adopts the president responsibility system under the leadership of the board of directors. The college enrollment is within the plan of ordinary colleges and universities. The college strictly implements the charging standard approved by Anhui Price Bureau and collects various fees.

Anhui Normal University is the earliest institution of higher learning in Anhui Province and one of the earliest comprehensive universities in China. The school has three campuses with a total area of more than 3300 Mu and a building area of about 880000 square meters. In the past 80 years, a large number of famous scholars, such as Liu Wendian, ZHOU Jianren, Yu Dafu, Su Xuelin, Chen Wangdao, Zhu Xiang and Zhu Guangqian, have successively taught in schools, forming a fine style of study and rich academic heritage. At present, the university has 16 colleges, 7 doctoral programs, 8 first-class disciplines authorized by master's degree, 72 master's programs and 55 undergraduate majors. Wanjiang university is located in the North Campus of Anhui Normal University (No. 109, Jiuhua North Road, Wuhu City, Anhui Province), adjacent to the scenic spots of Longtou mountain and Fengming Lake in Wuhu City. The campus is clean and standard, full of trees, flowers, elegant and quiet, with pleasant scenery, rich cultural atmosphere, complete teaching facilities, and all use multimedia equipment for teaching. The college adheres to the fine tradition of rigorous scholarship of Anhui Normal University, makes full use of the high-quality teaching resources accumulated by Anhui Normal University in the past 80 years, and tries to build a new platform for cultivating all kinds of talents suitable for the needs of society by exploring new ways of modern university education. According to the trend of social demand for talents, the college sets up new advantageous disciplines and majors, so as to achieve "people without me, people with me excellent, people with me special". In order to broaden the way for our students to become talents and enhance the internationalization of our school, recommended by the Ministry of education, China Association for International Education Exchange (CEAIE), China Center for International Education Exchange (CCIEE) and the American Association of state universities and Colleges (AASCU), the university has established cooperation with four American public universities, including the University of Troy, Bauer State University, University of Nebraska at carnier and East Washington University To establish the "1 + 2 + 1" Sino US talent training program (i.e., from first-year undergraduate students to study in one of the above universities for two years, and then return to our college to study for the fourth year.
