Chongqing energy vocational college is a full-time college (Ministry of Education Code: 14238) approved by Chongqing Municipal People's government and registered by the Ministry of education.

The college is located in the core area of Chongqing western new town, Chongqing "half-hour economic circle", Chongqing Shuangfu New District, the vice center of Chongqing city. It covers an area of more than 870 mu, with a planned building area of 360000 square meters. It has been completed and put into use for 200000 square meters, with a total fixed assets value of 750 million yuan and a total teaching and training equipment value of 98 million yuan. The college enrolls students from 28 provinces and autonomous regions in China. It is a pilot college of Independent Enrollment Reform in Chongqing. In 2015, more than 10000 students were enrolled.
