A probe into spring
Semi evergreen shrub, 2-4m high. The root is cylindrical, the branch root is twisted, the thickness is different, the soil is yellow or yellowish brown, the quality is hard. Stem erect, much branched, smooth. Leaves alternate, pinnate, 3-compound, leaflets ovate or oblong, with green hairs, 1-3.5 cm long, 0.6-1.2 cm wide, apex pointed, base cuneate. Cyme terminal; yellow flowers with slender tubes; calyx teeth 5, linear, length equal to tube; corolla 5-lobed, lobes ovate, half of tube; stamens 2, enclosed; ovary 2-locular. The berries are black. The flowering period is from April to June.
Born on hillside, often potted ornamental. It is distributed in the middle and north of China.
