Shrubs or small trees, branchlets pubescent. Leaflets 9-17, opposite or nearly opposite, papery, ovate to ovate, oblong, 5-10 cm long, 3-5 cm wide, base oblique, apex acuminate or protruding, entire or dentate, both sides covered with grayish yellow pubescence, especially dense below. Panicles axillary, 10-15 cm long, pilose; flowers pale yellow, calyx 5-lobed, pilose outside; petals 5, narrowly oblong, apex slightly pointed, glabrous outside; stamens 10, filaments fused into a short tube; ovary globose, glabrous. Drupe globose, slightly fleshy, 5-ribbed when dry, ca. 5 mm in diam.
Growing in shrubbery along river banks, roadsides, etc. It is distributed in Guangxi, Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan.
