[plant morphology] cornflower, also known as yellow plum flower.
They are perennial and about 20-50 cm tall. The rhizome is short and thick with numerous fibrous roots. Basal leaves tufted, reniform or ovate, thickened, 3-5 cm long and 3.5-7 cm wide, apex rounded or slightly convex, base cordate, entire; long petiole, ca. 20 cm long. There is a sessile leaf above the middle part of the stem, embracing the stem, the shape of which is the same as that of the basal leaf. Single flower terminal, about 1 cm in diameter; sepals 5, base more or less united, wide rectangular round, about 1 cm long, persistent; petals 5, pale yellow, crispy veins obvious, obovate oblong, 8 mm long, edge fimbriate; stamens 5, dorsal, alternate with perianth, intergrowth with staminodes, staminodes 5, 3-5-lobed; ovary ovate elliptic, 3-carpel connate, 1-locular, style Apex 3-lobed, slightly obtuse, rounded. Capsule oblate; seeds numerous, elliptic. The flowering period is July.
It grows in the wet and shady place near the ditch of the earth bank in the mountain area, and grows in the middle mountain area with an altitude of 1600-2600 meters. It is distributed in Sichuan, Guizhou and Guangxi.
