[chemical composition] contains tannin. The endothelium contains shikimic acid. The xylem contains 41% cellulose, 26% hemicellulose, 33% lignin, glucose mannan (or galactose mannan), arabinose-4-o-methylglucuronic acid xylan, and a large amount of raffinose. Heartwood was extracted with ether to obtain 5% volatile oil (containing ginkgo biloba ketone), 0.52% d-sesamin and a crystalline c17h34o-0.15% with melting point of 77-78 ℃. The melting point of male dendrosterol is 134 ℃, while that of female dendrosterol is 137 ℃. Both male and female branches contain raffinose.
