[plant morphology] Hosta

Perennial herbs. With thick rhizome. Leaf blade ovate to heart ovate, 15-25 cm long, 10-15 cm wide, apex acute. The petiole is 20-30 cm long. The stem is 40-65cm long, longer than the leaf, and usually has a leaflike bract at the top; the flower is white, flowering at night, fragrant, and growing upward; the base of the petiole often has a membranous ovate bract; the perianth is funnel-shaped, 6-lobed at the upper part, the lower perianth tube is very long, and the throat is enlarged; the stamen is 6, as long as the perianth; the pistil is 1, the ovary is sessile, the style is linear, and the stigma is small. Capsule narrow long, 4-5 cm long. The seeds are black, glossy, winged on the edge, and bloom from July to August. The fruit period is from August to September.
