Perennial herbs, about 15 cm high. Root like. The stem is slender and soft. The basal leaves have long stalks and three compound leaves. The central leaves are larger and the stems are longer. The stems on both sides are branched, with 2-5 leaflets. There are 2 compound leaves on some branches of the stem, with 3-5 leaflets on each compound leaf. The leaflets are fan-shaped, with round notch at the apex, wedge-shaped at the base, and entire. Flowers white, solitary on slender pedicels. Follicles 2, herringbone developed, with several seeds.
It grows in marsh grass. It is distributed in Guizhou, Sichuan, Hunan, Hubei, Shaanxi and Gansu.
