[chemical constituents] the whole herb (leaves and branches) contains apigenin-7-glucoside, luteolin-7-glucoside, 5-hydroxy-4 ', 7-dimethoxyflavone, 4', 5-dihydroxy-7-methoxyflavone, salvianolic acid, carnosic acid, rosmarinine, isorosmarinine, epi - α - geraniol, α - geraniol, β - geraniol, betulin, ursolic acid and 19 α - hydroxyursolic acid 2 β - hydroxyoleanolic acid and β - sitosterol.
The results showed that there were 0.48-0.52% antibacterial volatile oil in the branches and leaves, including α - zizanene, camphene, 1,8-cineole, borneol, camphor α - and β - terpineol, terpinen-4-ol, verbenol, bornyl acetate, etc.
In addition, geranioside, rosmarinic acid and labiatric tannin were also found. Labiatric acid is a phenolic carboxylic acid of caffeic acid and α - hydroxycaffeic acid. It has antioxidant activity with the above-mentioned carnosic acid.
[pharmacological action] rosemary preparation can be used as a menstrual stimulant in gynecology. It can accelerate menstruation due to oligomenorrhea or amenorrhea caused by menopausal nerve disorder. In dogs with chronic gallbladder fistula, 5-10 mg / kg rosmarinine can promote bile excretion. Rosmarinine can also enhance the inhibition process of cerebral cortex, and has hypnotic and anticonvulsant effects. 5-20 mg / kg can reduce the blood pressure of anesthetized cats, which is due to the inhibition of the heart and the dilation of blood vessels. It can also prevent experimental gastric ulcer in rats with little toxicity.
The volatile oil of rosemary leaves has a certain antibacterial effect on Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Vibrio cholerae, and the effect is moderate. The mixed oil made from holly root can promote the growth of hair. The results showed that the geranioside in rosemary could reduce the capillary permeability of rabbits, and the effect was stronger than that of rutin. The therapeutic effect on the increase of capillary fragility is better than that of rutin, and the toxicity is low.
