Herbaceous, 1-1.5 meters high, the whole plant has fragrance. Stem tetragonal, pubescent. Leaves opposite, ovate or broadly ovate, margin coarsely serrate, base broadly cuneate, extending down to petiole to form narrow wings, both sides sparsely pilose. Calyx 2-lobed, lower lip slightly yellow or campanulate, apex 4-lobed; stamens 2-lobed, apical teeth 4-lobed, staminate or campanulate. Nutlets ovate, ventrally angulate, dorsally rounded, brown. The flowering period is from October to December.
Born in the shade. Distributed in Guangdong, Yunnan, Guizhou and other places.
