Yangque flower
(commonly used Chinese herbal medicine in Tibet)

Plant morphology of Caragana yunnanensis
Deciduous shrub, 1-2 m high, with many branches and grayish brown skin. Stipules triangular or ovate lanceolate; rachis on Long Branch persistent and hardened into needle, 2-5 cm long, rachis on short branch abscission; pinnate compound leaves, leaflets 10-14, oblong or obovate lanceolate, 7-9 mm long, 3-3.5 mm wide, apex with short hard tip, lower surface pubescent. The flower is solitary; there are nodes in the middle of the pedicel; the calyx is broad and cylindrical, one side of the base is oblique and saccate; the calyx teeth are triangular, nearly as long as the calyx; the Corolla is yellow, the flag petal is nearly round, and the apex is round. Pods cylindric, 30-45 mm long, outside densely pilose.
In the forest edge, roadside and hillside shrubs. It is distributed in Yunnan, Sichuan and Tibet.
