[plant morphology] Sorbus bungei
Deciduous trees, up to 15 meters high. The bark is rough, grayish brown to grayish white, with longitudinal lines and cracks, and a few round protuberant lenticels; the young branches are grayish brown, with stellate hairs. Leaves opposite, ovate, 7-12 cm long, apex long, base round or slightly heart-shaped, often 3-lobed in young trees, slightly hairy above and densely hairy below; petiole long. Raceme terminal, with flowers 7-15; light red or lavender; corolla bell shaped, 2-lipped, upper lip 2-lobed, lower lip 3-lobed, throat with purple brown spots.
Born on the slopes or valleys of high mountains. It is distributed in Henan, Shaanxi, Hubei, Sichuan and other regions.

Bitter and smooth.
Functions and indications: clearing away heat, relieving pain and detumescence. Treatment of rheumatism, hot flashes, limb pain, arthritis, edema, heat toxicity, scabies.
