Perennial herbs, 30-50 cm high. Root fleshy, slender conic, solitary, effective lateral root, brown yellow. Stem cylindrical, with many white straight groove, hollow, tender part pubescent. The basal leaves are heart-shaped or ovate heart-shaped, 2.5-4 cm long and 2-3.5 cm wide, with small serrated edges; the petioles are 3-7 cm long; the stem leaves are 3-compound leaves, and the leaflets are ovate heart-shaped, with 3-5 deep lobes; the lobes are narrow and long, with irregular teeth; the uppermost part is only leaf sheath. Compound umbels terminal and axillary, pedicels 10-16, all with sparse pubescence; involucral bracts without or with 1-2, small; bracteoles 2-3, linear. Sepals absent; corolla white, 5-petaled, apex abruptly narrow, inflexed; stamens 5, caducous; ovary inferior, style 2. Suspensory fruit oblate conic, 1.5 mm long, 2 mm wide, densely tuberculate on the surface. The flowering period is from June to November.
It grows in grass slope or sparse shrub, oak forest and pine forest. It is distributed in Yunnan, Sichuan and Guizhou.
