Perennial herbs. Underground stem stout, ca. 7 mm in diameter, extending in sand, skin thick, brown; stem slender, recumbent or twining, glabrous. The base of the leaf is convex, 3-5 cm in length, apex obtuse, cordate. Thick, glossy; long stalked. Flowers solitary in leaf axils, pedicels slightly longer than leaves, bracts 2, broadly ovate or broadly ovate triangular, 1-1.3 cm long; sepals 5, ovoid; corolla funnel-shaped, pale white, 4-5 cm long, 5-lobed; stamen 5; pistil 1, style filiform, stigma 2, flat, ovate. The capsule is ovoid with persistent bracts and calyx. Seeds elliptic, black, glabrous. The flowering period is from May to June.
