Shrubs, many branched. Leaves alternate, oblong or obovate oblong, 1.5-7 cm long, apex acuminate, base broadly cuneate or rounded, entire, leathery, smooth above, scattered pubescent below; petiolate. Raceme axillary, 3-8 cm long; several leaflets at the base, elliptic; calyx 5-lobed; corolla white, bell shaped, 5-lobed, lobes retroflexed; stamen 10, anther without awned appendage, apical pore split; ovary superior, subglobose; capsule, many seeds.
