[synonyms] maggot (Jiyun), millet worm (seeking truth from materia medica), Narcissus (collection of medicinal materials).

[source] the dried larvae of chrysomyidae, Chrysomyia megacephala and other related insects.

[collection] from July to September, they were collected, put into cloth bags, rinsed repeatedly in running water, and then dried in the sun.

[medicinal materials] the dried body is oblate and cylindrical, with a sharp head, 1-1.5 cm long and 2-3 mm wide. Yellow white, some slightly transparent. It is brittle and has many vacuoles. Light, clean, yellowish white and odorless are preferred.
